Zhong Nan is a family owned and operated restaurant located in the east of Pretoria. The name is a combination of the following two words, Zhong Guo (China) and Nan Fei (South Africa). The immensity of China with its diverse climate, abundant resources, and cultural wealth allow for the development of unique and sometimes controversial cuisine. With very strong ethnical and geographical influences Chinese food can be categorized into one of eight major schools. With each school representing a region in China having its own distinctive history and culinary characteristics.
