- How do I join?
- Click on the register link in the top section of the website:

You can choose to register using facebook or fill in your details to create a new profile:

Once you have filled everything in, you will be asked to validate your email address:

Remember if you registered with facebook connection you have not established a password,
you must thus use facebook when you login again:

- I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
- On the login page you will find a link to reset your password:

Now enter your email address and your password will be reset for you:

You will then see a confirmation page notifying you that an email has been sent to you:

Simply click on the link in the email to rest your password.
- How do I see my special interest layer blog (profile)?
- You can view your profile at any time. To do this simply click on the profile link at the top of the page of
any of your special interest layer pages:

- How do I see my complete welove blog (profile)?
- You can view your complete welove blog (profile) at any time. To do this simply click on the profile link:
If you are on the home page, click profile at the top of the screen:

If you are viewing your special interest layer profile (sushi, wine, etc) click on "See WeLove Profile" in your left margin view:

- How do I edit my profile?
- You can edit your profile at any time. To do this simply click on the profile link and then click "edit profile":

- How do I edit my notifications?
- You can also adjust your notification settings and choose what you would like to get a notification
for (these are sent to your email address)

- Why would I want to receive notifications?
- Notification emails alert you to another member either, loving your review or asset. The notifications also alert you to comments
made on your reviews.
- Why should I complete my profile?
- Because the entire WeLove community is viewing your profile. Community members often click from a profile to a person’s
twitter account or website. This is known as a social media funnel and is a good way of establishing your reputation in all mediums.
- How do I tell people about the places that I really like?
- Share a place on facebook, twitter or via email:

Show your love for the place by clicking the "Love" link. This grows the places "welove affinity" and if others agree
with you this grows your welove reputation. :

Rate the place according to your level of satisfaction of the special interest layer item(e.g sushi):

- What is the difference between, loving a place and rating a place?
- Loving a place means that you feel a strong emotional connection to this place and would gladly return there yourself or
recommend it to others.
Rating a place entails giving an evaluation of the special interest item(e.g coffee) at a specific place.
- What is the difference between a complete profile and a special interest layer profile?
- The complete profile page shows all the information about you, including your activities and everything you love.
Your
special interest layer profile shows only information pertaining to that specific interest layer.
- How do love points work?
- Love points are accumulated through interaction with WeLove places.
Earn 3 points for adding a new location
Earn 1 point every time someone loves the location you added
Earn 1 point for leaving a review
Earn 1 point every time someone loves your review
Love Points are accrued per niche, the more points you earn in a niche, the more influential you become.
- How do I see how many Love Points I have?
- You can view your points on your profile underneath your picture:

You can sort the community by Love Points and see where your profile ranks in the community:

- How do I join a niche?
- On the Niche Home Page click Join Community:

Or if you try to rate, comment, review or add a new place to a niche you are not a member of, you will be asked to join the niche:

Next just choose your capital (your location):

You are now a member of that niche. It will be added to your “I Love” column on your profile page:

- How do I view an special interest group?
- To view a interest group simply click on any interest group in the Home Page:

For Example, click on Sushi to view the Sushi Home Page:

On the right, you can see your community’s activity feed:

Or you can select tweets and the community’s twitter feed will be displayed:

- How do I add a place, special interest item?
- To add your favourite place on WeLove, simply click on add a place(or special interest item e.g bar):

Fill in all the information about the place and click submit.
All content that is uploaded onto WeLove is moderated before it goes onto the site.
- How do I view a place, special interest item?
- There are many ways to do this. When you are at a special interest group page, you can view the available places. E.g on the Sushi page:

To view the profile of a place simply click on any place on the left-hand side-bar:

Click on the place that people are rating and reviewing in the notification stream:

Click on the map and see the minor details page in the left navigation bar:

Click on a place from a users activity stream:

You can give your favourite bar a love point, “like” it on facebook and give it a rating, all on the place’s profile:
A "like" will share it with your friends on facebook:

A love point will share it with your welove community:

- How do I review a place or welove article?
- To add a review simply click on the profile of a ar/Restaurant/Place:

Now Add your review:

Once your review has been approved, it will appear on the place’s profile:

People can “Love” your review and this will give you “welove affinity points.” A Welove point can be viewed as your reputation in that special interest layer.
The more points you have, the more chance of a reward. Also people often sort by love points so it means they are more likely to
believe and trust your reviews.

- How do I comment on a review?
- While viewing a review, simply click on "Reply" to post a comment:

- How do I show that I agree with a review?
- To show that you agree with a review, click the "Love" link situated just below the review:

- What does it mean for the reviewer when I click on “love” a review?
- It means you completely agree with the reviewer on their perspective of a particular place. This means you're
helping them grow their reputation in the special interest group.
- What does it mean when I click on “unlove”
- In this day and age a lot of people use comments simply as a means of trying to sell their own products.
This does not build reputation and only serves to annoy people. We try and curate all comments but some spammy comment slip through,
please show us that you disapprove. Too many ‘unloves’ and we’ll remove the person.
- Why should I try and get love points (reputation) in a specific interest group?
- This is the age of customer service and influencer reputation. More and more people tend to be highly subjective of a places
ratings. Make the owner accountable for bad service and praise the service, food, coffee, etc. when it is good.
- If I’m the shop owner, why should I try and get love points, a high rating or a people to review my shop?
- This is the age of customer service and influencer reputation. More and more people tend to be highly subjective of a places ratings.
Owner's are made accountable for bad service and praised when good service, food, coffee, etc. is received.
- I own the shop, how do I get to curate my own shop?
- At the bottom of a place's page there is a link to claim ownership of this business. Just click the link to email the admin staff at
WeLove.net:

Once it has been approved that you are indeed the owner, you will be then be the curator
- How does an owner edit their place?
- When viewing a place, click on the edit link:

Now you can update the information about your place:


- How do I integrate twitter, gowalla, foursquare?
- You can edit the information about your shop and add the twitter, gowalla and foursquare information:
(N.B: For twitter, this is just the twitter name and not the entire web address.)

- Why should I integrate twitter?
- To get followers for your place's twitter feed:

Users will also be able to view tweets for your place on it's home page.

- How do I search for places?
- You can also browse the different places in your area if you’re looking for something new to try.
For example, on Sushi you can do this by looking at the “Bar List”

You can the search bar available on a special interest layer home page:

You can also chose to sort these places according to your preference, i.e top rated, most reviewed or top loved etc.,
thus finding only the best places to go:

- How do I search for special interest influencers in the community?
- To browse other people in your community, click on the community link on a special interest layer page:

You can also chose to sort these influencers according to your preference , i.e by username, by number of loves or by number of submissions:

You can click on these to go to their profile and see their activity feed. Listen to what they have to say to find new places:
